Certification to API 653/EEMUA 159 Codes of Practice

OTAC has extensive experience in assessing and completing compliance reports for atmospheric storage tanks to either API 653 or EEMUA 159 Repair Codes of Practice. The client is provided with a thorough report which not only documents the existing condition of the tank and compound, the work carried out and a visual record of the findings, but also an evaluation and recommendations for restoring the tank to code compliancy where required. Where NDT results are accessible, both service and retirement life expectancies will be included. The report will include both API mandatory repairs and discretionary or suggested repairs which, if implemented, will likely assist in lengthening the life of the tank.

Where required we can engage specialists to carrying out full code compliant NDT inspections, floor scanning utilizing MFL/Slofec technologies and Acoustic Emission testing.
