OTAC is a company that provides comprehensive and professional consulting services to a broad range of clients and industries for atmospheric storage tanks constructed to API 650 or EN 14015/BS654 and maintained to either API 653 or EEMUA 159 Codes of Practice.
The History
OTAC was founded by experience gained as Tank Turnaround & Construction Manager for a major oil refinery. The goal of this role was to consistently deliver a safely executed tank program which was planned and executed in alignment with budgets whilst balancing both integrity and business risks. It included the refurbishment and upgrade of storage tanks, gas bullets and spheres of various designs and product storage and the construction of new and replacement tanks.
Achievements & Experiences
OTAC management has successfully delivered over 70 storage tank turnarounds and upgrades, ranging from 1Ml to 90Ml in size, ensuring alignment of project deliverables to business requirements of HSE, risk, cost effectiveness and adherence to applicable codes and standards. We have a consistent track record of successfully managing the delivery of atmospheric storage tank projects from the concept and detailed basis of design through to execute, commissioning and return to service.
Our Services
Services comprise complete project management of tank turnarounds and upgrade projects, pre-maintenance evaluations and preparation of detailed scopes of work, RBI assessments, maintenance prioritization and fitness for service based on on-site inspections, interpretation of NDT inspection results, service and retirement life calculations and tank maintenance histories.
